Mulled Fruit Juice This is a non-alcoholic version of mulled wine. The variations on the theme are endless - these are just starting points. For warming, a crockpot - err 'Slow Cooker' that is - is ideal, but a pot on a low stove will do. In all cases, brew for at least 3 hours in a crockpot, or 1 hour on the stovetop. Never, ever, allow to boil! Mulled Dark Grape 2L Dark Grape Juice 1L Water 1 lemon, sliced thin 4 cinnamon sticks 2 rough crushed nutmegs small handfull allspice berries 1/2 tablespoon mace blade 5-10 cloves 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice Variation: Omit allspice and add peppercorns and 1-2 bayleaves; Add juniper berries. Use apple juice instead of grape (do not use the pepper and bay variation with this!) Mulled Apricot 2L Apricot Nectar 1L Water 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon split cardamon pods 1 rough crushed nutmeg 2 cinnamon sticks Variation: Use orange juice instead of apricot.
