Firstly, something of an apology. The spamming of this event will end eventually. Around about September 25, to be precise. I can even tell you how it will finish. It will finish with me posting a gallery of photos (and *maybe* a video or two).
So, what now?
I have now ordered the Ace Race player's packs, based on the number of entries so far, and an extra 15. One of which has already been claimed.
So, if you want to be a part of the Ace Race in Perth this year, you will have to be one of the first 14 people to sign up from this point on.
Unless I get 10 signups over the coming week. If that happens, I will order some extra packs, because they will still have time to get here before the event.
So if you want to be sure of getting in, sign up this week. I will guarantee that there will be some spots available on the day - but, as always, first-come, first-served.
And now the usual spiel:
What is the Ace Race? The Ace Race is an open-to-all hole-in-one disc golf event suitable for both beginners and experts as it is run on a specially designed and shortened course. The winner is simply the person with the most hole-in-ones, who goes home with a prize pack of 8 discs and a large disc-golf bag to carry them in.
When and where? The Perth Ace Race will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 10:30am to 1:30pm at Cockman Park, Mulligan Drive, Greenwood. Hosted by the Perth Disc Golf Club.
What do you get for entering? The player packs consist of: 2 Ace Race Prototype golf discs, a colour mini-disc, sticker and a 6-8 disc capacity golf disc bag, all thanks to the event sponsor, Discraft.
