This last week has been spent in Melbourne on another Red Hat course - this one was the RH436 - Clustering and Enterprise Storage (for those who care). A fairly light exam for this one, only four hours.
Which I screwed up.
I made a massively stupid error in the main configuration section for the major question (I did mention that it is a practical exam, didn't I?), and failed to get that part working. Fortunately, I managed to get everything else right - and I do mean *everything else* - and managed to scrape together a 70% mark. This is bang on a pass for a Red Hat certification.
This, combined with my other endorsements on my RHCE means that I am now an official Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist. There are *slightly* more of these than RHCAs, but not by much.
For me, though, it means I just have one exam to pass to get the big one.
Now excuse me, I have to go and preen. And watch, with raptorial intensity, the Red Hat training dates.
