I have a friend who needs this done, it's an expansion to an existing game, but the people who manufactured the original game have gone out of business. The game designer needs a run of 500 at the low end and 1000 at the very highest.

So what they're looking for is a printer, publisher, manufacturer or stationer that can do this.

Can anyone help? The details are as follows.

"The expansion is only a box, quartered, holding a total of 400 cards, (cards are all unique front & back), colour coded into 4 groups (rim of colour at the edge)."

Australian company if it can be managed...

Is this Wez?

Speaking of which, I heard last night that Wez had another games day on next Saturday, but I haven't received the email on his list.

Did anyone else get an email? If so I might need to find out what happened to my subscription.

Cheers

No, it's the Not Tonight Josephine crowd, who wish to publish their expansion. Wez was very helpful though!

As for games day at Wez's, it's on the 31st, he'd like me and Rob to come too, don't know if we can make it though. He's south of the river somewhere?

Interesting you should be having problems with the list, as I signed up November last year and notification of next weekend's event is the first message I've received.

Barely South. He is off a side street (Westminster from memory) along the Cafe strip on Albany Highway in Vic Park.

Contact me off list for the address if you decide that is a destination you can make.

For other game designers out there, I ran across this place while looking around this sort of thing. I particularly like their map boards - you supply the picture and they'll print it for you - not too bad a limit either, 20 as I recall. Their pieces and bits are very cool too. The little plastic castles - in four colours are my favourites.

Also in their bargain bin they're selling game boards of Europe - you have to make your own game, but it's just such a cool thing!

Did you ever get any pointers to places?  I've just been asked basically the same question on BGG.

Wez suggested a die cutting place called Joy-Land in W.A, or diecutters in general for specialised boxes, and a printers for cards. I haven't heard back from the NTJ people, hopefully no news is good news!

It depends on what they want done - die cutters for specialised boxes, printers for cards.

Tess was looking at a place called Creative Packaging in Sydney,  Joy-Land can be found here - http://www.joyland.com.au/

I hope this helps your enquirer.
