Excellent Chinese and Malaysian food. Timmy's has been a part of the Canberra food scene for many years and is a pretty well-kept local secret. This small restaurant has the usual efficient service, but it is also polite. Mains are generally under $10 and the serves are generous.
Highly recommended is the Shan-tung Chicken - steamed then pan fried, julienned on a bed of cucumber and shallots with a delicious oyster-sauce based sauce and with hidden chillis lurking within. A must-order if ever you go here -I go here just for this dish alone.
Not the place for a romantic get-together, but a great place to meet friends and share a meal. 8/10
