Michelle and I went to Sorrento's a few nites ago, by way of celebrating Michelle's new job. The place was nice and friendly. No tables were ready when we got there, so a friendly "team member" asked if we would like to wait at the bar. We got ourselves a bottle of Sauv. Blanc - Tyrell's from Marlborough, NZ($26). Not too bad. Anyway, we ordered as a starter a shared large Capricciosa($17). It arrived and was magnificent. The crust was one of the best I've ever had - light, well cooked and tasty. Very highly recommended people!!! FOr mains, Michelle had the fish of the day(Red Emperor, $32) and I had Scaloppini Zingara($22). The fish was sadly overcooked, which is a real shame. Michelle, fortunately being Italian, loved it, as you can never cook a piece of flesh long enough...My zingara was great - chilli, rosemary and garlic based with some baked potato cubes(unfortunately a little cool). The veal was tasty though.
On the whole. I would definitely recommend a pizza from here and it attains maximum marks!
For dessert, we went to Il Gelato for *the* best gelato. You cannot go wrong at this place.
