Had my farewell lunch for the ATO at the Turkish Pide House in Civic in Canberra. Have eaten there on a number of occasions because the banquet is
a) Cheap b) Large c) Good.
Good dips, lots of bread to soak them up with. Good shishkebabs, salad, rice & zucchini balls.
Well worth visiting for a lunch if ever you are in Canberra. |

Just two things - "Where is it?" and "What's typical cost per head?"
Sounds yummy, though!

The lunch banquet is $20. I don't know the street address - west of Northbourne Avenue and at the northern end of Civic. Might be on Barry Drive (but don't quote me).
Hey, I know how to walk there from 2 Constitution Avenue!
Which I admit is of now limited value given that I don't work there anymore (start new job on Monday). |
