Well I'm mildly concerned anyway...

I saw this movie on Tuesday night. Quite long at 2 1/2 hours or so, it spends a lot of time setting up the background which then merges seamlessly into the main story.

The pace was good, as it took the time needed to tell the story without feeling rushed or too slow. No long never ending Matrix-like fight scenes that you just wanted to fast-forward either. The effects were good, although the new Batmobile is a little over the top. Definitely there to sell toys I think, and just in case you missed that fact, the movie was preceded by a MattelTM ad for a range of Batmobile toy cars.

The acting by Christian Bale(?), Morgan Freeman and Michael Kain was excellent as ever, with some decidedly humorous moments in amongst what is otherwise quite a grim tale.

After George Clooney killed the franchise with his absolute shite Batman this movie should revive it. I give it 8.5 out of 10.

Cheers
Mark
