Are you going to be on the Swan Coastal Plain on the 26th of March?
Carnaby or White Tailed Black Cockatoos are a local threatened species - you may be familiar with their wild cry of Will-Yark! Will-Yark! as they fly in slow motion overhead. You can be involved with finding out more about these birds than we know today - because we don't know much about them, and we need to, to help bring them back, or even stop them vanishing from the sky altogether.
The next Great Cocky Count is on 26th of March, wander over to http://www.carnabyscockatoo.org/ and see if you'd like to help out. If you can't help out in March, consider the 14th of May.
We had a nice picnic for the last survey and had a great time.
